Whilst Euroglass takes the utmost care to ensure that our products are of a high standard and our installation works are carried out without delay and with due and proper care and fit for purpose, occasional unforeseen circumstances are beyond our control. We do not accept responsibility for any loss suffered by our customers in the following circumstances:-

a. Where there is a delay in the installation of products due to circumstances beyond our control;

b. Where a fault is identified, outside of the warranty period, with respect to products supplied by us;

c. With respect to newly installed works - Where a customer fails to notify us promptly (within 72 hours) of any damage sustained to products during their installation;

d. With respect to other works installed within the warranty period - Where losses are suffered by a customer because of a failure to promptly (within 48 hours) notify us of any defect uncovered with the respect to the products supplied;

e. Where losses are suffered by a customer, in the unlikely event of a spontaneous breakage of any toughened safety glass product supplied by us (refer points 2 and 3 of the "other important matters' noted below).

Other important matters:

1. All glass and hardware used on installations by Euroglass is certified under Australian Standards fit for the purpose for which it is being used. Glass certification is supplied for each project once the final account has been paid upon request.

2. Toughened glass is an approved safety glass fit for the purpose for which it is correctly used. It is a significantly stronger glass than annealed or laminated glass however it is still possible to break toughened glass if impacted or pressured in certain conditions. If toughened safety glass breaks, it breaks in small cubes to an Australian Standard AS1288-2006 and greatly reduces the possibility of injury.

3. Toughened safety glass can break spontaneously without warning due to certain chemical elements within the glass and in varying atmospheric conditions. Customers should be aware of this very rare phenomenon.

4. We are pleased to rectify damage occurring to products that are supplied by us, outside of the warranty period, however such work is carried out at our usual material costs and hourly labour rate.

5. Minimal maintenance of all Euroglass products is required. However, it is recommended that homeowners regularly inspect the following aspects of the operation of a frameless shower screen:

(i) Ensure a minimum of 3 mm clearance is maintained between all edges of a frameless glass door and the fixed panel and or wall and the floor.

(ii) Check the tightness of the screws and clamp/patch and hinge fittings.

(iii) Check the operation of the hinges to ensure that they hinge freely and are not bound.

(iv) Replace scratched or damaged glass.

(v) Ensure that, when making alterations to a shower area, frameless shower screen glass door/s do not make contact with objects that may cause the frameless glass door to fracture.

Should any of these components develop an obvious fault or failure, it is the responsibility of the user to notify Euroglass. Euroglass cannot take any responsibility for injury or damage caused from failed fixing systems which have not been brought to the attention of Euroglass prior to the incident either within or outside the warranty period.
